Admir grew up in the most beautiful town in West Yorkshire, Huddersfield (England). In 2021, he completed his MChem at Loughborough University, researching the synthesis of novel fluorinated heterocycles as drug scaffolds under the supervision of Dr. George Weaver. During his MChem, Admir also completed a 12-month R&D industrial placement at Akzonobel (Slough). Admir moved to Scotland to join the Burley group in 2021. His PhD research involves new synthetic approaches for the development of therapeutic nucleosides in collaboration with Prof. Paul Hoskisson.

Current position:
He speaks no less than 4 languages fluently. Admir plays football regurlarly alonside various other sports. This ‘Yorkshireman’ is also very patriotic to his Bosnian motherland. Catchphrases “I prefer not to speak”; “What a day” (When it’s 9:30 am…), overuses the word “tremendous” and has contaminated the whole group with these.
